Calculating Lot Area

Previous | Next

There are two ways to calculate area in Deed-Chek.

The first method is to draw the deed using the tract command. When you are finished, the parcel or lot will be drawn on the screen and the area is automatically calculated and drawn in the center. If any part of the parcel changes, the area is automatically recalculated and the new area is displayed. This area is also shown in the closure report.

Using the mouse

The second method is to use the "area by points" command. With this command, you simply use the mouse to click around the desired boundary. Then you are finished, the area is displayed. If desired, you can then insert the area back into the drawing as text.
